Creative Child Magazine, a national publication for parents, named "Sabu & Me” by Maura Lane, illustrated by Hazel Mitchell as the "Book of the Year" for 2010 in the children’s picture book category.
This award was granted by a panel of moms and educators who scored each
entry and provided comments http://www.creativechild.com/

It will be officially announced in the fall.

I-95 Triennial Invitational Exhibition
April 23 - June 12, 2010

Great news ... proud to say that the UMMA have chosen one of my images to be part of the exhibition in Downtown Bangor at the Museum. It's called 'The Family' and is a study of a family of pilot whales taken near Bar Harbor, Maine. It will be 4ft x 3ft.
